Magic is a thing- adventure video game developed by independent swedish developer steam desktop authenticator pc arrowhead game studios. It was developed through steam for microsoft windows on january 25, 2011.
Magicka is based on norse mythology. Up to four mages of the holy order are sent to fight the evil sorcerer and his creations. The computer world is partly based on norse mythology, drawing inspiration from other fantasy games like warhammer and diablo, but also "systematically using comedy and self-referential humor. The game also takes liberties when it comes down to a classic fantasy setting, at some point by equipping the players with the m60 machine gun.In additions, the game also explores the setting of the vietnam war, and lovecraft's cthulhu universe.
Magicka is an adventure game where one player or up to four players simultaneously play in a three-dimensional environment from an isometric position take on the roles of wizards tasked with stopping an evil sorcerer who has plunged the world into chaos mode.The main adventure campaign is made up of 13 levels.[1]
In contrast to the mechanics of fun, it is traditional dominates sorcery and sorcery-based video games, magicka has no character class structure, nor does it have a "mana bar" or energy meter and, limiting the use of special abilities, so in addition to some "magic", players are able to achieve an approach to the most powerful spells since the start of the game. Up to 5 parts can be combined to achieve the desired result, but certain elements are not combined together in any way due to their opposite nature (for example, fire and cold weather). Also, the other two elements can be sent by mixing the two basic elements: steam (water and flame and ice (vagueness and frost); they act as basic elements, which gives gamblers free access to ten elements to form spells.
When casting a spell composed of different elements, there is a set hierarchy that determines the type of spell cast.. Shields take precedence over projectiles (earth and ice), which take precedence over beams (life, and magic), which are given priority over steam, taking precedence over lightning, taking precedence over splashes (water, fire, and cold. For example, a spell consisting of pure fire would be flame. A flame and planet spell would be a fireball projectile. A flame and arcane spell would create a blazing beam a fire, arcane, and soil spell will create a flaming magical stone projectile.A fire, arcane, soil layer, and shield spell will lead to the construction of a flaming arcane th stone barrier. Story[edit]
Setting[edit]The game takes place in midgard, a fictional country based on norse mythology. Aldheim castle is home to the order of magic, which trains wizards.
All the characters are shown in nonsensical language, accompanied by subtitles translating what was said.
Opening[ edit]
In the past, grimnir was a powerful wizard of the order of magic, who wanted to use the power of all magic in order to help the order bring divine light and prosperity to midgard. However, his ambition and love of knowledge frightened other wizards, so the order banished grimnir and the concrete of his followers, and imprisoned the powerful wizard at the edge of the light.
Main story[edit]
About 1 to four wizards from aldheim castle (players) are sent by their master vlad to secure the city of havindir from a growing number of orc attacks, all united under a warlord called khan. On the way, the wizards must save the village of veidithorp by killing jörmungandr, a giant serpent. The wizards then hijack the goblin airship, which, after a brief plane crash, lands near dimitrov dunderhead. The city is being raided by beastmen under the command of a leader named jotunn. The wizards must defeat jotunn and his beastmen in order to reach havindir by wagon.
The wizards reach havindir and protect the settlement from the orc siege. Then they go to the khan's fortress and exterminate the khan. In doing so, they learn that grimnir is in fact the force behind the orc attacks, as he seeks revenge for his own exile.
The wizards head to world's end and confront grimnir. Vlad retreats to act as a rearguard while the wizards get lost in front of grimnir, only to find that you are being manipulated by a powerful demon called assatur who resides in the ethereal realm. Grimnir cannot be defeated, it is assatur who constantly heals him. The only suitable time of year to kill assatur is to use special magic to bring the demon into the material world. Wizards are not aware of this spell, so vlad sends them through time so that you learn the spell from the wizard fafnir, who became a dragon.
Vlad from the future now works as a ghostly guide, he sends wizards to find you named an earl in mirkur marshes who will check on fafnir's whereabouts. In order to reach the swamps, wizards must travel through the goblin-infested yarn mines.After the goblins are defeated and the mines cleared, the wizards turn on the swamp and discover how full of undead it is.
Breaking their way to the count's fortress, the wizards find the count, who turns out to be vlad. . This vlad also turns out to be a vampire and fights the wizards, whom he believes are "imposters", as the real wizards are protecting havindir at the moment. The wizards defeat vlad, who then rushes to send the original wizards back through time after the wizards arrive. Grimnir is at a loss, and vlad finally realizes that the "impostors" are really wizards he sent back in the days gone by.
The wizards are fighting their grimnir, this time assatur appears to heal him, vlad gives a signal and the wizards use the magic they learned from fafnir and draw assatur to midgard. Assatur kills grimnir and then fights the wizards.
The wizards destroy assatur and are hailed as heroes as the order throws a celebratory party at aldheim fortress.

Magicka: nippon adds a kimono, katana, and bamboo staff. For a limited time, 50% of the benefits of buying magicka: nippon goes to the rescue of japan.[8]
The pvp (player versus player) mode was developed on june 21st, allowing players to fight against each other in competitions 1 for one and two for two. A couple of new maps have also been developed specifically for pvp, some without any payment, and some as paid dlc.
As of november 2011 [update], many different maps , as well as new players (new robes). Do - some are paid and others are free, including a robe referring to a buggy state of the game on release (patched robe with bugged staff and crash to desktop magic), but other correlations to warhammer 40,000 and startrek in between. In addition, a major technology update was created for interaction on november 16th, where the engine and schedules were updated, bugs were fixed, and a fairy familiar was added to revitalize players who play the rhythm of adventure on their own. The familiar is intended to parody the navi in the legend of zelda series.

29 october 2012 released a small addition called magicka: grimnir's laboratory. It adds 3 new robes to the game (based on various fictional doctors) as well as the titular laboratory as an arena map. This new arena map has a special feature that blocks the use of certain elements by the player at any time.[11] was named game of the year 08 at the 2008 swedish game awards. .[24] on release, the game was criticized for numerous bugs, crashes and crashes, as well as lag and multiplayer connection issues, forcing the developers to issue a series of patches to try to solve these problems. As of january 2012 [update][28] it has sold 1.3 million copies and 4 million dlc packs, making it one of the most successful games published by paradox interactive and is credited with paradox's 250% profit growth during 2012 of the year. 29] as of june 2014, [update] has sold 2.8 million copies on steam.[30]
The latest game for ios and android called magicka: wizards of the square tablet was developed by ludosity interactive and released by paradox interactive on march 28, 2013.[31] the game had a metacritic score of 88% based on 9 reviews from critics. The game was discontinued in october 2018 and discontinued in december due to gdpr incompatibilities.
A novel written by dan mcgirt and published by paradox interactive. Magicka: the ninth element was released on november 7, 2013. Paradox interactive on may 27, 2014. It was shut down on july 21, 2016 due to a small player base and high server maintenance costs. Announced june 9, 2014[35] it was developed by pieces interactive, developers of some of the downloadable content for the original game, and was released in may 2015.[36]
